Treding is the second project we had to chance to work on with Twitter, more specifically for their worldwide "Museum Week" event. Each year, Twitter's Museum Week celebrates culture on the network, and they were looking for a creative way to represent all cultural centers taking part to the mobilisation in a cohesive yet unique manner.
The main idea came from the very notion of DNA, that within a same coded language, anybody was still unique. So we decided to decode each museum social DNA, in this case, each Museum's Twitter data, to create a dynamic visualization of each of the 2200 cultural centers taking part to the event.
We collaborated with Marcin Ignac's Variable Studio to create the vizualisation tool, and the final project was both acessible on a dedicated website and in a site specific installation displayed in Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, during the week of the event.
